Student (incl. PhD) registration – presenting and non-presenting – 1,500 NOK
Registration includes the following:

Eligibility for 3,000 NOK travel support (only for presenting students not at UNIS or resident/present in Svalbard)

Optional two-day excursion – June 24 & 25 – 2,000 NOK
Limited to 20 spaces, registration on a first-come-first-served basis
Registration includes:
Short field guide
Transfer to/from harbour
Transport in Isfjorden by PolarCirkel fast open boat
Visit to sites in Billefjorden and Eckmanfjorden (weather dependent)
Protective survival suit for boat transport
Safety briefing
Polar bear protection

Additional plus-one banquet ticket for an acompanying partner – 500 NOK
Researcher and student registration automatically includes a ticket for the mid-workshop banquet.
Both student and researcher attendees can register and pay for an additional plus-one at the banquet.

An email confirming registration will be sent in due course following registration including details of abstract submisison for those intending on presenting.

Confirmation

After completing the Nettskjema you will receive an e-mail confirmation detailing payment methods and itemising what you have registered for. This email has to be sent manually so it may take up to 48 hrs for you to receive it. Once payment has been received you will be emailed a receipt by the UNIS Economy section.

Payment

Payment of registration costs is by electronic bank transfer in Norwegian Kroner.

Following confirmation of registration, attendees will receive an email from the University Centre in Svalbard Economy Section (from an @unis.no email address) with a PDF invoice detailing the costs of activities the attendee has registered for as well as payment details including IBAN and SWIFT numbers for electronic bank transfer. You will be sent a receipt on successful transfer of funds.

Refund Policy

Refund Policy: We understand that these are uncertain times regarding international travel, therefore, full refunds are offered up until the 16th May registration deadline. Please contact organization@aw2022.org for cancellation and refund.
